Sencha Asanoka is crafted exclusively from the Asanoka cultivar a relatively rare hybrid created from Japan’s most popular tea cultivar, Yabukita, and the Chinese cultivar Hiramizu. The tea leaves are typically harvested between mid to late March, when their chemical composition particularly the balance between amino acids and catechins is at its peak.
