In the heart of the Darjeeling hills, nestled among the towering peaks of the Himalayas, lies Jungpana, one of the most legendary and secluded tea estates in all of India. Known for its unparalleled terroir, the Jungpana estate-perched at elevations between 1,000 and 1,500 meters in the Kurseong district-has long been revered by tea connoisseurs for producing some of the world’s most distinguished Darjeeling teas.
This Second Flush selection captures the very essence of Jungpana’s signature character. Harvested in the height of summer, when the tea bushes have benefited from abundant sunlight and seasonal monsoon rains, this flush yields a mature and fuller-bodied liquor-deeper and richer than the spring First Flush, yet still elegant and aromatic.
At the core of this tea is its prized “Muscatel” profile-a unique and sophisticated flavor bouquet characterized by sweet, fruity, and slightly spicy notes, found only in the finest Darjeeling teas. Its FTGFOP1 grading certifies the use of only the finest whole leaves and golden tips, handpicked at the peak of perfection.
The dry leaf offers a beautifully handcrafted mosaic of olive green, light brown, and silvery-white buds, delicately rolled and exuding the artisanal touch of the estate’s skilled tea masters.
Once infused, the tea unfurls into a clear, golden-amber with a luminous brilliance. The aroma is captivating-green wood, mountain flowers, and a hint of wild geranium, lifted by citrusy and balsamic notes of lemongrass and verbena.
On the palate, Jungpana reveals its full elegance with a silky, with a medium-light body. Refined sweetness, layers of ripe stone fruit, hints of papaya and cocoa husk, balanced by subtle floral tones
This tea offers a refined, structured cup that will delight seasoned Darjeeling lovers and newcomers alike. Every sip is an invitation to the highlands of India-a testament to tradition, environment, and skill.
Feel free to adjust according to your preferences-Darjeeling teas are highly responsive to variations in steeping time and temperature.
We are proud to offer the Darjeeling Jungpana Second Flush in its loose-leaf form, meticulously packed to preserve its freshness and complexity. Whether you’re tasting Jungpana for the first time or restocking a familiar favorite, will bring this Himalayan treasure directly from the garden to your cup.
